Terms of Use

These conditions govern use of the website. Visiting a page, reading its content, or using a search feature constitutes acceptance. Do not continue to use the site if you disagree with any term.

NO FCRA USE. This website is privately owned and run. It has no affiliation with any local, state, or federal government body or court. Neither this site nor any of our advertising partners offer services meant for credit checks, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant evaluation, or any other use covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We exist to help visitors find court dockets and case-record resources in Treutlen County and Georgia. We are not a private investigation firm, and we are not a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independently operated private reference site, not a court or government office. It cannot store or retrieve official files, submit pleadings, or alter hearing dates.

Its purpose is to route readers to official Treutlen County sources, including Connie Smith's Clerk of Courts office, Georgia E-Access, and PeachCourt, as well as clearly identified outside tools.

2. Informational Use Only

All content is general information. It cannot replace an official docket, a court order, or advice from counsel. Treat it as an initial research aid and verify any important fact with the Treutlen clerk or the court maintaining the case.

3. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

If you need a background check for any of those purposes, use an FCRA-compliant screening company.

5. No Legal Advice

No content is legal advice. We cannot apply a charge, order, deadline, or case fact to an individual situation. A licensed Georgia attorney should address those questions.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Dockets change as cases are filed, settings move, and matters are amended, dismissed, or sealed. Information may therefore be incomplete or stale. It is not an official clerk or court statement, and every material entry or hearing date must be verified at its source.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

External links lead to clerks, courts, public resources, legal-aid groups, and commercial services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their availability, data handling, prices, or content. Their own terms apply after a visitor leaves this website.

8. Intellectual Property

All text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Treutlen County Court Docket or our content partners. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or build on our content without getting written permission first.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site, including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Georgia law governs these terms, and any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Georgia. For clarity, court-record inspection under Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 is distinct from a public-agency request under the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision becomes effective when the updated text is posted here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you look up a case or docket for me?

No. We are a private reference site with no access to the court's docketing system. You can run a case search yourself or contact the clerk of court.

Can you change or confirm my court date?

No. Only the court can set, reset, or confirm a hearing. Check the court calendar and verify any date with the clerk of court.

Is a docket entry on a linked tool official?

No. Docket data on third-party tools may be incomplete or out of date. The official docket comes from the clerk of court that holds the case.
